New Year

Here we are--just a few days into the new year and deep into winter already. We have already shoveled off three roofs: Diane's, the sunporch, and the garage.

We have had not one but several ice storms. The glow in the background is the early morning light hitting the glazed tree branches.


The snow base is still about 1 metre deep; we have had some thaws, and various layers have compacted. Below is a panorama of Panama. I'm hoping to get the chainsaw out into the woods this weekend--there is much to do!
