Not Yet the Dead

The dead of winter will arrive in early February; as Halifax is scheduled for 2 Feb. and St. John's for 8 Feb., I've decided to declare 5 Feb. the official Central New Brunswick Dead of Winter. It's probably later, but setting it 20 days from now cheers me up. We ventured out into the woods. Although it was only about -12, it seemed much colder. The crust was thick enough to support Ollie, who had a wonderful time running all about. Valla . . . did not.
